Here at Preferred Insurance, we love our communities and support them in numerous and meaningful ways. With clients all over Southwestern Ontario, our offices in London, Glencoe and Chatham are all part of local communities that receive our help wherever we can. We have found much success in multiple fundraisers that have become annual traditions. Not only for the recipients of these efforts, but for our own team members, communities and business partners.

The biggest impact event and cause for Preferred Insurance is their annual Turkey Bowl Event which started 10 years ago as a “thank you” event for their business partners. It has evolved over the years and has grown into a massive undertaking that consistently involves more than 100 business partners and 225 guests with all funds raised going to Childcan – A London based organization that provides real help financially and emotionally for families battling a childhood cancer diagnosis. Since this annual event became a fundraiser 5 years ago, the amount of money raised, including inspired partner initiatives, has surpassed $200,000.

We have just wrapped up the 2017 edition of Rock Back To School in conjunction with Classic Rock- FREE 98.1FM, The Salvation Army and The Thames Valley Education Foundation. The purpose of the program is to raise awareness and collect back-to-school supplies for less fortunate families. With the engagement of many business partners and clients on the mission, Team Preferred’s 5-year total for this campaign rings in at 462 loaded backpacks. Our collection is always met with an overwhelming spirit and sincere gratitude from the program organizer, the foundation it supports, and the many families who are the beneficiaries.

Another major contribution we participate in, is joining forces with The London Majors Baseball Club and The London Abused Women’s Centre, and taking on the Signature Partner role for their annual Purple In The Park Event. LAWC also provides real help right in our community during very difficult times. This event was struggling to draw enough interest, crowds and money to keep it going. Preferred Insurance gave it some rocket fuel, which drastically improved the results for the 2016 and 2017 fundraising.

We are a proud participant in the London Business Cares Food Drive, with our partner, The London Home Builder’s Association, which supports The London Food Bank. The drive is a great collaboration of local businesses and it creates a massive success and amount of collections. The 2016 total tallied up to 307,800 lbs.

We partnered with Gore Mutual to give $3000 to the Port Stanley Festival Theatre.
