Auto Insurance Discounts Offered by Aviva Insurance
Autonomous Emergency Braking System Discount (AEB):
The discount will apply to a vehicle which is equipped by the original manufacturer to monitor the proximity of vehicles in front and automatically apply braking. The discount will be added automatically by the system for eligible vehicles according to the vehicle code and year.
Car and Home Discount - Named Insured:
Both the Automobile and Property must be insured with a company within the Aviva group of companies, and through the same insurance intermediary, for the Named Insured, spouse, common-law or same sex partner. There are additional conditions that must be met in order to qualify for this discount.
Car and Home Discount-Family Member 10:
This discount will apply to family members of insureds qualifying for the above Car and Home discount, who insure vehicle(s) registered in their own name. There are additional conditions that must be met in order to qualify for this discount.
Combined Policy Discount:
This discount will apply to all automobiles on the policy as long as the effective dates of both the Automobile and Property policies are aligned. There are additional conditions that must be met in order to qualify for this discount.
Graduated Licensing Discount:
The discount will be applied for the first year of G2 or G licensing providing the driver has had no minor, major or serious convictions or chargeable accidents at the previous license level.
Green Vehicle Discount:
A 5% discount is available for all Hybrid vehicles that have both a gasoline engine and an electric motor, and electric vehicles.
Multi-Vehicle Discount:
The automobiles must be insured on the same policy or on separate personal lines policies with a company within the Aviva group of companies, and through the same insurance intermediary, owned by the Named Insured, spouse, common-law or same sex partner. There are additional conditions that must be met in order to qualify for this discount.
Out Of Town Student Discount:
The student must be a minimum of 100 kilometers away from home and only returns for holidays (e.g. Easter, Christmas) and the vehicle is garaged at the location of the Named Insured.
Retiree Discount:
You must meet a list of conditions to qualify for this discount and sign a Retiree Declaration Form.
Winter Tire Discount:
A 2% discount is available for vehicles that are equipped with a separate set of 4 winter tires during the months from December 1st through to March 31st.
